Chandler Block: This 16.5 acre block on paradox rootstock was planted in 2016. It is 6 years old and just coming into production. 2020 production was 1,324 inshell pounds per acre. The tree spacing is 16’ x 28’, 97 trees per acre. Irrigation by solid set irrigation and Nelson R2000 sprinklers.

Water: 2 of the 3 irrigation wells are less than 8 years old, completed in 2013 & 2014, equipped with electric motors and turbine pumps. The 3rd irrigation well completed in 2003 is 18 years old, equipped with John Deere diesel engine, Amarillo gearhead and turbine pump. Water for the home and shop is provided by domestic well completed in 2004 equipped with submersible pump.

Soils: Per Natural Resources Conservation Service, nearly 70% of the soils are rated Class 1, Lk; Los Robles clay loam. The balance of the soils are Class 2, Bc, Berrendos clay loam and Ag; Anita clay.
